As an Aveda student I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Aveda does all that it can to save the Earth and more people should be aware of how they can help.

It’s as simple as recycling your empty bottles or turning off the water when you brush your teeth.

To be more environmentally friendly there are many things that everyone can do. Using a water fillter and refilling a travel water bottle saves the earth from being filled with thousands of plastic bottles. In New York City alone, you could line all the thrown away plastic water bottles to the moon and back.
Another thing you can do is water your outside plants at night. When people water their plants at noon the sun dries up most of the water and the plants have to be watered twice as much. At night, the plants need less water which saves more water for the rest of the planet.

Some Earth Month tips that we can suggest people try in order to be more environmentally friendly are things like cutting your showers short. By cutting your showers short you reduce your water usage which can help save the fishies. Also, the old reduce reuse and recycle tricks are good ideas. Reduce your electricity use by turning off lights, reduce your water usage by shorter showers or turning off the water while you brush your teeth. Reuse your old water bottles instead of grabbing a new one everytime you drink water, or reuse old shopping bags as trash bags. Recycle your water bottles and pop cans, paper and whatever else that can help cut back the trash buildup that harms our environment.
