Aveda compared to many of the beauty schools that are out there is completely different. Aveda isnt just a brand – it is a way of life.
Most other brands out there talk just about the business, but at Aveda we strive to set an example. This is in our mission statement we know this by heart and here at Aveda we strive to better ourselves and let our guest know that they are here for an experience not just a service.
At Aveda we believe that every guest is different. With our plant derived products and our mission to give back to the community – I believe this is what makes us different.

Aveda is different from other brands and beauty schools because we’ve learned that making a connection with our guests from the minute they walk in the door until the minute they walk out, is something so important, and its why we believe people love Aveda so much. Aveda stands strongly behind our mission statement “Our mission at Aveda is to care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways in which we give back to society. At Aveda, we strive to set an example for environmental leadership and responsiblity, not just in the world of beauty, but around the world.” Aveda is always raising money to help the environment and make sure were doing our part to give back. All of our products are naturally derived which differs from other brands. Aveda made its name through being able to make people feel good about themselves and doing it in a very positive way.
Becoming a cosmetology student here at aveda everyday is a learning experience. I chose this career because i know that i would be constantly stimulated with new and exciting things. I have learned how to use product to style the most unmanageable hair out there. I had one guest with hair that stuck straight out from his head but with a blow dryer and a little men’s pomade his hair was sleek and smooth. He told me his hair never has been styled liked this before and was more than happy to go home so he could now recreate this look. This is why Im here.
