Beauty Schools, Cosmetology Schools, Esthetics Schools
Whenever I began to tour cosmetology schools so that I could follow my dreams I had two or three in mind… Aveda and two others that shall remain nameless for professional purposes.
I am a mother of three and currently reside in Altha, Fl, so there are certain things I was interested in when choosing my school where I would begin the rest of my life…
Structure because I already live in chaos…lol.
Second, how far from home I would be; with three babies at home you have to be reachable.
Lastly, I wanted to be somwhere where I felt that I could learn to the best of my abilities and be sourrounded by other people that are positive, caring, and want to help me do my best. Out of all the schools that I toured I felt that Aveda met all three of my requirements and yes there are others that are closer, but they didn’t feel right.
In my experience so far at Aveda I feel that I made the right choice. They are structured, the educators are positive, reinforcing, stern, but fun and caring, and I’ve already learned so much more than I thought that I would by now.
It goes by so fast. The other schools I looked at well lets just say I said NO NO NO! There was no structure and no class.
In conclusion you have to make your own decision about what you want and how bad you want it and the path you choose to get there – my Path was Aveda!

Aveda was so different compared to the other schools I looked at for sure. As soon as I got out of highschool I knew I wanted be a cosmetologist there was no doubt in my mind about that so I started looking around the Florida area for schools. The main one I had in mind was my local college because its near my house, but when I called no one answered and no one returned my calls so after about the 4 th time I went up there and they told me I’d have to wait another year..and I thought to myself ANOTHER YEAR?! So I continued on my journey looking for the “perfect school for me”. I finally started looking online and noticed Aveda and I thought to myself it wouldn’t hurt to look into it, so I did and I had a phone call the next day, interview the next week ,and enrolled that November..oh my gosh I loved it!! Aveda is so structured and concerned with their students, I mean if we miss a day they call us twice and email us, that really shows me that they care whether your there or not. I would just like to say Aveda is a wonderful school and provides you with all the necessary learning techniques and more to move you towards your dream of becoming a hair stylist!
Don’t forget opportunities with Aveda never stop!
