This New Year’s I had a lot to think about, as I considered all that I had gone through last year, and dreamed about all of the possibilities of the New Year ahead.

Most of my resolutions are revolved around Aveda. See, last year I decided to change my life plan, and become a spa therapist. I started attending the Aveda Institute of South Florida in June.

It was such an exciting and new experience!! I’ve learned a lot while attending the Aveda Institute and now that it is January my class is getting ready to graduate.

Looking forward I’m anxious to see all of the new opportunities that will arise from being a graduate of the Aveda Institute. So, one of my resolutions is to become employed at an Aveda spa.

I want to be able to use all of the information that I have acquired in the last seven months, as well as, further my knowledge and experience. Next week we will be getting the opportunity to interview with Aveda spas in the area. This will hopefully be my opportunity to achieve this resolution.

One of the many things that I have enjoyed while attending the Aveda Institute of South Florida is being able to help the guests that come to receive spa services. It is such a great feeling when someone graciously thanks you at the end of a service for how relaxed you made him or her feel. That is one of the reasons I decided to come into this field, and is why I can’t wait to start working.

Another resolution of mine is to just be happy in all I do, and that will be easy since I’ll be “doing what I love.”
