Stay fly on a college budget

by Shanell Wright on October 1, 2011

I find myself constantly upset over price tags and even items that are suppose to on sale. As a college student its hard enough paying for books, school supply’s and other miscellaneous bills we have. But shopping doesn’t have to end, meaning your fashion doesn’t have to suffer. I personally collect accessories, belts, hair bands, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and scarfs. I love mixing and matching them with all of my clothing. Thrifts stores always have really good deals. They have so many different and original pieces for low prices its unbeatable and unbelievable.

Vintage stores also have awesome deals. I always find really cute hats, accessories and bags for really good prices. When my wallet is on “E”, I take all of the old clothing I don’t find in season or don’t find cute anymore and take them to a local second hand store like Plato’s Closet. The second hand stores will take anything from shoes, clothing and accessories to bags, wallets, CD’s and DVD’s. You can also exchange clothing for clothing inside of the second hand stores. I love shopping at budget stores. I know it sounds cheap, but I promise the clothing lines they have are very Fashion Forward and also very cute.

I recommend Marshall’s, TJMaxs, Target, Walmart and Ross. I love shopping at all of these stores. Also you can shop online, you get really great deals, you even get clothing before it hits stores. When i shop online i always look for PROMO CODES! You’ll get free shipping, or 75% off sometimes. I hope this helps everyone shopping to stay fly on a college budget.
