Searching for my perfect school was no easy task; however, after searching long and hard, I found The AVEDA School of Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. I thought of cosmetology school primarily as school, not an opportunity to make lifelong friendships. I thought wrong, and can honestly say, I will leave this place with some of the best friends I have ever had.

I have many fond memories, and I am sure there are several more to come. Being that I am a massage school student in the introduction class for Spa, one of our biggest learning topics is the anatomy of the body.

I flipped through my books one morning and thought to myself, “This is going to be so boring!” Luckily for me and my fellow classmates, our instructors did the impossible: found a way to make anatomy fun. This one specific day that holds my fondest memory was the day we learned the movements that muscles can make our body perform.

As a class we all stood up naming the movements as we performed them. Looking around the room everyone was laughing and felt silly. With those movements, we were all creating dance moves. Our class, full of all ages and personalities, were dancing our muscle movements. It was one of the best beauty school lessons, I loved it!

I still remember almost every muscle movement by just thinking of my special dance moves. I also remember the day our class really bonded all together and that bond has yet to be broken!
