Here at the AVEDA Cosmetology School Orlando, we have many classes that I believe are great. However, in my opinion the one that stands out the most would be the class on stepping outside of the box and combining different techniques to create a style or haircut customized just for your guest.

When looking at the people in the public eye today, the same people that we as “normal people” try to model ourselves after, their haircuts and styles are a mixture of two, three and sometimes four different techniques. It’s knowing how to bring all of these techniques together that;

1.) Makes your guest feel the cut and style is custom fitted for them and

2.) Makes them leave your station feeling more confident. Confidence can cause a boost in your self esteem (even if only for one day). This is our job and our goal as stylist to make our guest feel good about themselves and great about the cut and style they are wearing if only for that moment in time.

All in all I believe every beauty school class is very beneficial to my career as a stylist, but it was this class that taught me how to tie certain techniques to other techniques that makes all the difference when customizing hair for each individual guest.
