I still have all my fingers

by Jessica Chapdelaine on October 3, 2011

My greatest success at AVEDA has been learning all the stuff I now know, like how I learned to set up my station to make my guest feel comfortable. I also learned a bunch of new hair techniques like the Denman, Hard set and Soft set, and Pin curls. A big success for me was getting my sectioning right, I just could not get them straight; however, with Mr. Vega’s and Christina’s help I finally got it right. My past week at AVEDA I have learned so much and I have done so well. I am very good at doing curls with a curling iron and also hard set curls I am not bad at either.

AVEDA schools has taught me how to be more positive and to believe in myself so I can excel in everything I do here and outside of school. Another thing I am successful at is diffusing the hair to enhance natural curls in a persons hair. A big success for me was going to school, because I was not sure if I had the time to and now I’m in school learning about what I love to do and what I want my career to be when I graduate. I know I will be successful in everything I do as long as I stay positive and don’t doubt myself. But my greatest success of all is that I still have all my fingers.
