Cosmetology School | Beauty School | Spa Massage Therapy
I wasn’t the prettiest in the class, or had the most beautiful hair when I was younger, yet it doesn’t mean I wasn’t curious with anything beauty related. I remember when I was young, my mom had left to do her grocery shopping, and I found myself alone in her room. It was the perfect opportunity! I could finally get to see up close all those beauty products I’d see her put on whenever she and my dad will have their weekly date. I went through her dresser and found her powder and her lipstick. I put on some of her powder first and absolutely loved it! I loved how it looked and felt on me, and I couldn’t stop staring at myself in the mirror! I put some lipstick next, and mind you, it wasn’t the prettiest sight at all. Even if I colored outside the lines, I didn’t care. I felt my prettiest at that time and felt really good about myself.
Growing up, I finally mastered how to put on makeup (and can finally color inside the lines), and feel more confident than anything else. I started later on doing my friends’ hair and make up, and even landed a career working for a cosmetics company. I loved the feeling I get whenever I see friends and strangers put a smile on their face after a makeover. It just feels good knowing you made someone happy or made their day.
That’s when I knew, cosmetology was the right path for me.
I decided to make it a permanent career, and with that, I enrolled myself in AVEDA cosmetology schools of Florida. I know that in this career, part of the job is to make your guests or clients happy and feel good about themselves. And the feeling you get after, is priceless. Where else can you find a career like that? Doing what you love the most and feeling good about it as well? I’m happy I chose this path because I want to pass on to other people the feeling I get after every make up, hair or nails done, to give women the confidence they need to conquer the day, to make every person out there feel their prettiest and best.
