I have quite a few favorite experiences here at the AVEDA school, but my favorite experience at AVEDA would have to be model days.

I think having models days is a great way to learn how to approach your guest, and make conversation while performing their style. It also helps boosts your confidence, and teaches you how to up-sell.

I think every cosmetology school should have model days, so the students can gain confidence in their work and gain experience working with humans that actually have feelings and issues there going to talk to you about, unlike our mannequins we use in beauty schools Florida that don’t have any feelings.

I think our basket program is a great way to inform our clients about what products we use on them, how we styled their hair using the product, what the product is and how the products we used on them can benefit their hair.

Personally, I have gained more confidence having the model days because they teach me how to approach people better and actually get to know them as a cosmetology professional. Also how to up-sell better, and make the client feel beautiful, because when I leave the AVEDA salon, I want to walk out of it feeling better about myself then I did when I walked in. And I think that’s what the AVEDA schools in Florida teach.
