Tips for Students on a Budget
The number one complaint among students and fashion is money! If you’re a student and you want to stay hip with all the latest fashion trends, and actually be able to wear them instead of just dreaming about them… listen up! When looking through magazines or online make sure to look at the key items. Maybe a bright jewel toned flat for the fall, or a bright red pea coat for those chilly days. Both of these items can be mixed and matched on different occasions and worn for different outfits. One night you could wear a pair of dark denim skinny jeans with your flats and pair it with a nude sweater, or switch it up with a pair of tights.
Also, there are always places like goodwill and second hand stores that always have cheap clothes. Remember, fashion always repeats itself. What was in three years ago will always come back. “Today, fashion is really about sensuality—how a woman feels on the inside. In the ’80s women used suits with exaggerated shoulders and waists to make a strong impression. Women are now more comfortable with themselves and their bodies—they no longer feel the need to hide behind their clothes.”
