When I hear summer hairstyles, I think beachy, casual and girly styles. Here are some of the best beauty school trends I’ve seen at the AVEDA school in Florida and beyond!

One style I’ve grown quite fond of for the summer is a high-tousled bun or chignon. Slick back into a high ponytail and pony tail teased a bit and sprayed with some witch hazel for light hold and pinned up into a chignon. The teasing gives the chignon a fuller look also giving it that slight tousled look– it wont be a neat chignon but its not supposed to be.

The second look I love for the summer is the hair out with a natural wave. Short hair with a more tousled and deeper wave while longer hair is nice with a smooth refined wave looking very natural. Confixor is a great product to use for waves and curls, blow dry hair straight and with a curling iron create the waves.

A third look would be a side braid, whether it’s the standard or fish bone braid. This look can be played around with for a sleek finish or roughed up look.
