My best advice for the first day of school is to dress to impress.

Our first impression to other students and instructors are made within the first 30 seconds we meet anyone. We do not want to go to school, especially on the first day, looking like a scrub. We never want to look like a scrub on the first day of school or any day of school.

I would not advise you to come to school like you are going to the club, either.

My advice is for you to dress professional and sophisticated. Being in school, we want to be treat as a young professional. The only way to get treated as a pro is to look and talk like a pro.

We do not want people to underestimate us or judge us so we want to show them we can look pro on the first day of school!

Since it is the first day of school, you can go a little crazy with your own hair. Do something creative to yourself so people can see your creativity. We are in the AVEDA cosmetology schools Miami, so we like to show people a peek of our skills.

Then again, if you are a easy going person with your hair, there’s nothing wrong with just straightening your hair, if you have curly hair; vice versa for straight hair.

Since we are young and in high school, college and cosmetology school, we can be creative with our make up and do dramatic looks, or just a simple day look. It’s all up to you.

Our first day of school is to impress; in my opinion, it’s a show. Show people your creativity. We are in the cosmetology industry. Good luck!
