Radiate Confidence (Hair Tips to Nail the Interview)

by Pamela Maraffi on July 2, 2011

When interviewing for a job, you want to radiate confidence and professionalism. The first impression is very important and your appearance takes a big part in that. There are some very simple and well-kept looks that work well for the modern day entrepreneur.

Something you might want to pay attention to is making sure your hair is kept out of your face. For that professional look, you want a sleek and clean finish to your hair. If you’re someone with longer hair, your best option is most likely to pull your hair back. A style such as a loose low bun or a high straight ponytail with an accent style (such as a braid or a bump) mixed in can make for an overall stylish and put together look.

Those with shorter hair can sleek their hair back with product or try a more relaxed half up half down look. One thing to remember is to never over-use product. It can appear too severe and require too much time. Keep hair natural colors, nothing too controversial or outlandish. You always want your hair to look neat and relaxed. A nice hair accessory such as a neutral-colored head band or clip with a bit of sparkle can really go a long way to put together your whole look.

If you know what you’re talking about and you have the look of someone proud and presentable you should be well on your way to a successful interview.
