Organized and Fabulous
I strongly believe that cosmetology school organization is the key to a quick makeup application. If every item has a place and every item stays in that place, you can have your face, lips and eyes done in no time.
I like to keep at least two medium sized caboodle-style makeup cases in my bathroom, where the brightest lighting is. The first is for all of my base makeup — such as concealers, foundations, and finishing powder — and has two compartments, so that the powders go on one side and the liquids and creams go on the other. The other case also has two compartments, one for eye makeup (my personal obsession) and the other for lip. This container also has many small slots on the side, perfect for tubes of eyelid primer, mascara and my favorite lip glosses.
To make things a little simpler, I always keep a smaller, empty case on hand, to quickly throw in all of my favorites when I need to apply on the go.
When trying to organize your own makeup, it definitely does not have to be has complicated as my system, but compartments do keep things a little more streamlined, so you won’t find yourself wasting an extra five minutes just trying to find your liquid eyeliner in a pile of similar looking lipsticks.
Stay organized and fabulous!
