For about a month, my hair color has changed about four times and one thing I’ve been Jonesing for has been AVEDA’s Sun Care Protective Hair Veil. This lightweight, water-resistant UV mist protects hair from sun exposure for up to 16 hours. I have been over-coloring my hair of late because it fades so quickly in this Florida sun. On vacation I went swimming and picnicking and hiking, and at the end of the week my hair color was much lighter than it was originally. The wintergreen and cinnamon bark helps protect against sun damage, which another huge concern of mine.

Because my hair has been overprocessed, I am very concerned with avoiding any extra damage. At home I use Color Conserve shampoo and conditioner, as well as Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair; however, these scalding Florida summers require a little extra defense. Also, since I live in a city full of cars and car exhaust, the Hair Veil’s green tea extract, sunflower seed oil, and Vitamin help protect it from free radicals.

I love having vibrant color that’s always changing, so I would definitely wish for a product that helps protect it from fading and damage. (Luckily, being a student of the best beauty school in Florida, I get the inside scoop.) I love playing outside and want my hair to enjoy it, too!
