Summer is a lot of peoples’ favorite time of year for many reasons; the sun, the pools, and the beaches. But all of these things we enjoy are damaging for our hair.

Our hair is very fragile. If our hair is not taken care of, it loses the protein and the hair will be damaged and possibly break. There are a lot of useful AVEDA products for our hair that will help protect it from these hazards.

For protection from the sun during the day there is the sun veil which protects the hair from the UV rays and the heat. You simply spray it into the hair and apply periodically as you would sun screen.

There is also the sun care shampoo. The shampoo washes out all of the residue that the salt water and clorine leave behind in the hair which could potentially cause build up on the hair shaft and leave the hair feeling unclean and unhealthy. The shampoo also acts as a body wash and serves the same purpose for the skin.

Last, there is the sun mask which helps put moisture back into the hair after a long summer day and also protects against UV rays.

These products will help protect the hair during the summer or anytime sun, pool, or ocean water is exposed to the hair.
