Women our Hair, and Natural Beauty

by Anthony Pernicka on May 19, 2011

I’ll start off saying that every woman has their own natural beauty, each with their own delicate features. Such as, curly hair, strong jaw line, plump lips, and vivid eye color. It’s easy for woman to forget their distinct natural individuality, because we all look up at the Victoria Secret super models and wish we could look like them. So we find ourselves changing our hair color, clothing style, and make up application. For what? When we could utilize what we’ve already got, and in the end your not hiding under ten pounds of make up, or frying our hair with thermal irons.

That said, the hairstyles must compliment your face features, clothing style, natural wave pattern. For instance, sporting your natural beauty doesn’t consist of bed head with a turtle neck and flip flops. Of course you have to put effort into maintaining your natural beauty. For example, if you have curly frizzy hair, wet it down, apply mouse or gel, taking brick layered sections twist little or big stands depending on the desired size of your curl, and attach a diffuser on end of your blow dryer. Flip your head gently upside down and let your twists lay onto your dissuser attachment (reframe from putting your fingers into your hair too much, this will cause frizzing). When your curls are dry, flip your head upright scrunch your hair with some mouse and break the curls apart with your fingers. This will give a beach curl appearance and this should only take about 15 mins or less since curly hair dries faster. Another example, if you have pin straight hair, and you want to see some wave. With a thermal protectant styling product in (this is performed on dry hair) separate top from bottom, braid about 5 on top and 5 on bottom. Take a straightening iron and run it along your braids about 3 times on each braid. Hair spray it, let it sit, then unravel revealing beautiful waves, hair spray it again for hold.
