I came to Aveda on a whim. I was working as a finance manager at a consulting firm and hating it. Being 28 years old, i felt that I was stuck in a career that I would end up a different person that I wanted to be. I decided to choose Aveda because of what they stand for. I wanted to help people and found that Aveda truly cares and goes far beyond the experience that I was expecting. Three months into school, i never saw myself working in a fashion show. This school opened my eyes to the variety of paths that I could choose in this profession. Not only does Aveda show you, they open doors and let you test the waters. I am amazed at how I feel about myself now and have learned to look at people in general in a different light. It is not easy by any means, but what you put into school and learning you get back 150%. You are not just another idiot coming into “hair school”, the educators give you the recognition you deserve and are looking for. Th ey will push you further than you ever could imagine and the results are amazing. I never regret making this decision and actually look forward to coming to school every day.
