First off, I have always been addicted to Aveda, and I love our Mission and everything we stand for. When I was in high school, going to my monthly Aveda Whole hair appointment, was the highlight of my week. From the second I walked in the door, to the second I walked out, I loved every moment there. What set Aveda apart from any other salon and spa was the whole Experience. I truly felt unique and respected every time I went in. So when it came to deciding what school to choose, without even thinking, it was Aveda. Now, with only 5 weeks left in my program, I am certainly glad that I made the right decision! I have never been to- let alone heard of- any school where each and every student is recognized as a unique individual with different learn types. Our Director even knows every student by name!

It’s great having one group of students in the same class for the entire program; We have all grown really close, and consider each other family- Even our educators. We help each other out when we’re not understanding, or even when we’re feeling down. It’s comforting to know that I have a support system! My educators, Carrie and Monica, make class fun and interesting every day. We learn new information in a variety of different ways and always look forward to coming to class!

I love how Carrie and Monica have pushed me to be the best Massage Therapist they know I can be! When I saw myself getting into a “rut”, they were there giving me the words of encouragement and motivation I needed to get back in the game. They genuinely care about us, and that makes a difference. I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t have the support I have here. My educators, my class mates, my director and the rest of the team at Aveda Institute St.Petersburg are the reason I continue to stay with Aveda.
